At what age can you pierce?

Three months of age and older . It is recommended that your child has at least received their first DTap/TDap vaccination prior to piercing.

Do you use an ear piercing gun or a needle?

Neither, because both are scary! Our piercing earrings are gently inserted with a hand pressured device that does NOT involve any spring-action nor loud noises.

What is the expected healing time?

It takes about 6 weeks for a lobe piercing to heal and 12 weeks for a cartilage piercing. Only after your child’s piercing has completely healed it is safe to change out with a different pair of earrings.


Can I provide my own earrings for the appointment?

Unfortunately not. The earrings used are specifically made for piercing. They are sterile and made of hypoallergenic metals to promote healing and reduce the chance complications.


Is it painful?

Piercing of the ears may cause discomfort, but a topical anesthetic (numbing) cream can be applied prior to the piercing to help reduce any pain or discomfort.


Can I go swimming after getting my ears pierced?

You need wait at least 24 hours before swimming in a chlorinated pool and at least 2 weeks before swimming in rivers or lakes.
Please note: Piercings need to be cleaned immediately after swimming to reduce the risk of infection.

Do you pierce adults ears too?

Short answer; Absolutely!
Because of our adoration for the precious littles in our community our primary focus is providing excellent service to children ranging from infancy to adolescence. However, we will provide ear piercing services to an adult if requested.
